Why Would God Become Man?

Exploring The Concept of Reverse-Apotheosis

I had someone ask me the other day if I understood the gravity of the concept of God making himself man in the form of Jesus, and it got me thinking.

My initial thought was how ridiculous the concept is of this act being done as a gift to mankind, the guilt-trip route that most Christians use to try to convince you to switch over to their faith and “save your soul”. That and promising you eternal torment in Hell are their usual go-to’s.

For some reason, they can’t wrap their minds around the fact that using guilt and fear as methods to have someone agree to convert to your faith probably isn’t the best route to go.

But considering how many flaws there are in their holy book, and plot holes and contradictions in their belief structure, it may be the best they have to work with.
