Even the “Woke” Can Be Useful Idiots for U.S. Imperialism
We all expect it from conservatives, especially the Evangelical types. They’ve been indoctrinated for decades to support Israel at all costs, they don’t actually care about Jews, they just know that their Scofield Bible told them it’s the only way for them to force the end of the world to happen so they can live out their rapture fantasy.
With that in mind, it really shouldn’t surprise any of us that these death cult members will back Israel, demonize Muslims, and cheer on any war that might fast-track the apocalypse.
That’s par for the course.
What’s more insidious, and honestly more dangerous, is when the supposedly progressive crowd does the same thing. Not because they’ve been indoctrinated by Christian Zionist theology, but because they’ve been fed decades of sanitized empire-friendly liberalism that paints every intervention as a human rights mission.
