In Kamala Harris’ recent speech to the American people, she mentioned that she had met with Netanyahu and said that it’s time to “get this deal done” regarding an end to the “war” on Palestine.

I will criticize her for mentioning the inflated number of Israeli deaths on October 7th, but failing to mention the death toll of Palestinians, and mentioning them as “deaths” and “suffering” rather than specifically mentioning all of these civilians being targeted by Israel.

She also doubled down on her stance for Israel’s “right to defend itself”, which is just coded language for stating she agrees with them being able to bomb anyone they want, and that she supports the continued stream of taxpayer money and weapons into Israel.

What did surprise me is that she stated the ceasefire deal would result in a two-state solution and self-determination, which at this point I really didn’t see Israel agreeing to, although we’ll have to wait and see what it really entails. I wouldn’t be surprised if Israel demands half of the remaining territory since they’ve rabidly been grabbing more land ever since this all started.

From what I can find she has $213,945 from Pro-Israel groups, much lower than the $4,223,143 Biden has received, so perhaps she isn’t quite as beholden to our rulers. Although I’m sure the AIPAC folk are getting their checkbooks ready.

Overall I’ll say it was nice to listen to a coherent speech, without any drifting off, glassy-eyed freeze-ups, or mentions of “Cornpop” being a mean dude.
