If Operation Northwoods Was Real, What Else Is Possible?

Operation Northwoods was a real, declassified plan where the U.S. military literally proposed faking terrorist attacks on American soil to justify invading Cuba. Yeah, that happened. It’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s declassified U.S. history.
If they were willing to draft that, why is it so outrageous to suggest the government would consider, or allow, a false flag event again?
