To Protect and Serve (Property)

The Police Were Never Meant to Keep You Safe

Let’s get one thing out of the way:
If the police were here to protect people, the United States would be the safest country on Earth.

But we all know that’s not the case. You can’t walk through half of America without stepping over a tent, a needle, or a memorial candle where someone bled out on the sidewalk, and yet, the police, those defenders of order, are armed like they’re invading Fallujah.

That’s what this really is: a domestic occupation force.
Not here to serve you, but to control you, especially if you’re poor, Black, brown, trans, homeless, or any combination of the above.

Their job isn’t public safety. It never was.
Their job is to protect capital.
