Billionaires who called themselves “philanthropists,” who said they were simply strengthening Jewish identity and supporting Israel. But in reality the Mega Group, co-founded in 1991 by Les Wexner and Charles Bronfman, functioned less like a charity circle and more like a cartel of soft power.

Not an official organization, no public records, no bylaws.

This wasn’t a grassroots federation of synagogue bake sales. This was around two dozen of the richest Jewish businessmen in North America, convening twice a year in New York or Jerusalem to decide how to pool their money, political clout, and media access. A “philanthropy club” on the surface, but line up what they funded, who they were tied to, and the ecosystem they built, and it stops looking like charity and starts looking like a strategy for domination.

Each one had their function:

Les Wexner: Lingerie tycoon poured millions into think tanks, grooming programs, and policy shops. His money shaping the intellectual pipeline that fed AIPAC, turning Ivy League grads into polished operators for the Zionist cause.

Charles & Edgar Bronfman: Heirs to the Seagram liquor fortune. Their signature project is Birthright Israel: free ten-day pilgrimages for young Jews to cement an identity inseparable from Zionism. Indoctrination masquerading as heritage, seeding ideology one backpacker trip at a time.

Ronald Lauder: Cosmetic heir turned diplomat. Lauder became Israel’s fixer in global politics, toggling between the White House, European parliaments, and Jerusalem. His real job has been running interference for Israeli policy wherever it came under fire.

Michael Steinhardt: Hedge fund billionaire who pours money into Jewish studies programs, academic chairs, and cultural institutions. His influence is about building the intellectual scaffolding. Train the scholars, shape the curriculum, frame the debate. The subtle stuff that makes the Zionist ideology seem “neutral.”

Lester Crown: Chicago industrialist, tied directly into the military-industrial complex through General Dynamics. The others manage hearts, minds, and votes, Crown anchors the project in hard power: weapons, defense contracts, and the American war economy.

Zionism’s cultural cover has always been backed by brute force.

Steven Spielberg (periphery): He hasn’t sat the table twice a year, but his Holocaust projects, Schindler’s List, museums, “awareness” foundations, have fed perfectly into the network.

History became weaponized memory: a moral shield for present-day policy, selling “Never Again” as justification for perpetual war and atrocities.

The mission has always been wrapped in noble language: “strengthen Jewish identity,” “preserve memory,” “educate the next generation,” “support Israel.”

The reality has been a closed loop. Wexner created the political pipeline, Bronfmans handled youth indoctrination, Lauder played diplomat, Steinhardt secured academia, Crown fortified the defense angle, and Spielberg sanctified it all in culture.

Different tools, same endgame: make Zionism untouchable dogma.
