The Gaza Resolution
Why the Democratic Party Is Unsalvageable

The “Gaza resolution” wasn’t a radical proposal, contrary to what the DNC would have you believe.
It called for a U.S. arms embargo on Israel, a suspension of military aid, formal recognition of a Palestinian state, and a demand for ceasefire and humanitarian access. Stop funding a genocide, acknowledge the people being exterminated as human, and let food and medicine in.
Pretty straightforward.
When Allison Minnerly, a DNC member from Florida, introduced it at the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting this month, August 2025, the party establishment killed it instantly. The Resolutions Committee shot it down, with DNC Chair Ken Martin leading the charge. His excuse was that it would divide the party, scare off donors, and complicate the election cycle.
Let me decipher that for you, it was too moral, too honest, and too threatening to the gravy train almost all of Congress is used to.
