Divinely inspired rules?

Recently I ran across someone trying to make a point against cross-dressing using “Biblical evidence”. The primary verse they utilized for this was:

Deuteronomy 22:5-NASB
5 “A woman shall not wear a man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Of course, this is the Old Testament, so some will say that perhaps the New Testament isn’t as strict in this regard, but there is a verse there as well that leans in that same direction.

1 Corinthians 11:14–15-NASB
14 Does even nature itself not teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her as a covering.

Christians love to use these two verses as a sign of what “God” wants for “gender norms”.
