After all my years in Church, this one actually caught me by surprise.

For those of you that are Catholics a lot of this, possibly all of this, is stuff you likely already know. But for us protestants and ex-protestants, a lot of this is likely to shock you.

I had always heard “The Virgin Mary”, although Evangelicals don’t make much over her, other than that she was special because she was chosen by God, and was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus. That’s basically the limit of her importance amongst that side of the faith.
