People love to throw around Nazi comparisons, and sure, on the surface, MAGA world has all the imagery: the chants, the flags, the scapegoats, the cult of personality. The thing is, what Trump and his billionaire backers are building isn’t some meticulously engineered fascist state in the image of the Third Reich. What they’re piecing together is something far dumber, far more cynical, and far less sustainable: a kleptocratic demolition job.
