Lying Us Into War
A Time-Honored American Tradition

It’s almost a rite of passage at this point. The talking heads on CNN and Fox start spinning the usual talking points, they bring out their jingoistic rhetoric, and suddenly Americans are convinced that some foreign country they can’t point to on a map is a threat to our “freedom.”
Never mind that the average American’s freedom ends at the price tag on their insulin; what matters is that some distant regime is building invisible weapons or harboring the next Hitler, and only a good ol’ U.S. military intervention can save the day.
What if I told you that nearly every major American war has been built on a foundation of lies? The real threats were never to our safety, or
national security”. The threats were to the profits of oil executives, weapons manufacturers, and U.S. hegemony.
The people who dared to expose these lies were the ones punished, while the demons who lied and planned out all of this destruction and death were able to cash in on it.
