International law is optional if your flag has a blue Star of David on it and you love pretending humanitarian activists, or anyone who doesn’t agree with you, are a national security threat.

Israel hijacked a civilian vessel in international waters, arrested hundreds of peace activists including Greta Thunberg, and hauled them off to Israeli prisons like pirates.

Now don’t call it kidnapping! The proper term, according to the Israeli government, is “maritime enforcement.” You see when Israel kidnaps or sinks vessels in international waters, it’s not piracy, it’s “self-defense.”

When anyone else does it, it’s terrorism. That’s an important distinction.
