If you want yet another case that shatters the myth of Israel as a benevolent Jewish homeland, look at the Yemenite Children Affair.
Between 1948 and 1954, between 1,000 and 5,000 Yemeni and other Mizrahi Jewish babies disappeared in Israeli hospitals. Mothers were told their children died, but weren’t shown any bodies or proof of what they claimed happened to the children. These infants were later handed to childless Ashkenazi couples, often from European backgrounds. This was a process of literally stealing babies from darker-skinned Jews to boost the whitewashed face of the nation.
