The first step you have to take when you’re about to commit a genocide is to dehumanize the population, make threats, promises of “removal”, the language always comes first to help manufacture consent. In Israel’s “war” on Gaza the genocidal intent isn’t hidden in backrooms; it’s declared openly from podiums, in cabinet meetings, and in interviews given to foreign press.
They just can’t seem to help themselves at this point. They don’t really even try that hard to hide it anymore.
The Israeli leadership doesn’t just wage war. They announce exactly what kind of war they’re waging.
