If you want to know just how bankrupt this country really is, financially, morally, and intellectually, look no further than our relationship with Israel.

We don’t just send them a few billion every year like a “loan” to a deadbeat cousin we know we’ll never get back. We shovel tens of billions their way, much of it earmarked for shiny new weapons that just so happen to be manufactured by U.S. defense contractors.

Israel gets the bombs, the bullets, and the tanks, and Lockheed Martin and Raytheon get fat checks. Then, I’m sure you’ll be absolutely shocked to find out, the same lawmakers who keep voting for these endless wars are personally invested in those companies.

It’s the perfect scam, take money from struggling Americans, funnel it into “aid,” watch it boomerang back into the stock portfolios of the political class.

Heaven forbid anyone suggest we trim that “aid” even a little.

With a looming budget crisis, politicians are already floating the idea of cutting Social Security, something you’ve paid into your entire working liffe, telling you to “tighten your belt” while they keep fattening the defense budget for Israel.

It’s always the elderly, the poor, and the working class who get the ax.

Never Israel.

Never the Pentagon.

Never the MIC.

Never the lawmakers.
