Let me start by clarifying that by not being a “Christian” book, I mean not aligning with what most of us would agree as being typically held “Christian” beliefs. Christianity, after all has a very wide base of beliefs and in the past has had an even wider-reaching range.

In a previous article, I covered how this particular book attributed (likely falsely) to John the disciple Jesus loved, contains a number of Greek gods in some verses that were seemingly purposely badly translated to obscure this fact. But while making that article and reading those verses a lot of other elements jumped to my attention that I want to discuss.

So let’s jump back to “Judgement at the Throne of God”.

Besides the Greek god issue, why would Death and Hades be thrown into the Lake of Fire? Weren’t they just doing their job of handling hell? I’m presuming if we’re looking at them as being gods, demons, archons, or whatever they are in the version of the Christian theological lenses, you want to see them through.

If that isn’t the case and we’re considering Hades here to be a place, then why would you cast a place into another place if both seem to serve the same purpose, according to Christians?

Seriously, most Christians here just assume that the Lake of Fire is another name for Hell or a section of Hell. So you’re going to throw Hell into Hell due to judging it for doing something wrong, it seems, but I mean….it’s Hell… Where’s the logic? Help!
