Is the Bible Socialist Propaganda?

Is the Bible too “left”? Do I have the wrong Bible?

We keep seeing conservative Republicans pushing for the Bible to be taught in schools, and saying that this holy book would help to “fix the country”. So I decided to take a look at what political policies and concepts for society they must be talking about.

What I found may shock you!

Those who owned property selling it and owning all things in common to provider for all?!?! What type of Marxist propaganda is this book spreading?!

The ones promoting the Bible I’ve been hearing about usually have sayings like, "If ya don’t work ya don’t eat”, and, “God helps those that help themselves!”.

Do I have the wrong Bible? Is this some dirty commie version!? Made in China?

I’ve never heard these lessons taught from a sermon!

Luke 12:33-NASB

33 “Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor does a moth destroy.

Don’t horde wealth on Earth, so that you can have more rewards in heaven. What if you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps, and hate immigrant workers for “taking American jobs!”? Don’t we need to “build that wall!”???

Should I just ignore the New Testament since it’s obviously full of liberal Biblicisms?

Maybe Jesus was just too soft, I mean he did hang around with a bunch of dudes who all wore dresses and frequently drank wine after all. Plus that one guy leaning on his breast at the last supper is a bit suspect…

Let’s look for our advice from the Old Testament, that version of God is more my speed!

I guess Joel did help those flood victims…after some pressure from social media. I know he did because he did an interview with all those pallets of Gatorade and other supplies behind him.

Plus I mean my church often does mission trips down to various developing countries, I know we do more than most churches, what have you done!?

Since God helps those who help themselves, doesn’t he just want us to look out for ourselves and he’ll look after those that show they’re worthy?

Then I ran across all of these verses as well!
