I keep seeing the term “Nazi” being thrown around, some accusing anyone who critiques the state of Israel at all as being anti-Semitic or a Nazi. This is somewhat humorous to hear aimed at people who are speaking out for Palestinians since they are also Semitic people, but I digress. Why do some people make the claim that Israel has become the real Nazis?

Let’s look at some of the evidence, for the majority of the last 75 years since the founding of the state of Israel on top of what was Palestine, the Israelis have treated Palestinians as second-class citizens based strictly on their race and religion. They kicked off the founding of their nation by slaughtering numerous villages of Palestinians to clear the land for themselves. Even Albert Einstein, a very famous Jewish physicist condemned them for their violence and for their fascism.

Over the decades the Israelis have pushed the Palestinians into smaller and smaller territories of land, of which the Israelis have complete control over what goes in or out. Basically, very large concentration camps, not to be confused with the “death camps”. This strategy was also used by the U.S. with Japanese citizens during WW2, and the Native Americans. Something Hitler was very fond of in U.S. history was the efficiency that the U.S. used in exterminating their “problem”.

If Palestinians enter Israel to work they have to go through stringent checkpoints, herded essentially like cattle. If a “settler” aka anyone of Jewish descent that decides to move to Israel, they are granted instant citizenship and a Palestinian family will be evicted from their home and land and the state will gift it to that Jewish settler. This is reminiscent of what the Nazis did in Germany with Jewish-owned properties.

So we have a number of the ingredients here. We have people who are segregated and dare I say concentrated into small regions, with limited water, fuel, and food. Who have no rights compared to those that are put above them based on their race and religion alone… They have their property taken away and given to people of the “correct race”, to help the country become more “pure”. What’s the next step that Hitler took? To exile or exterminate them completely from the territories of his rule…What are we seeing now? At last I checked the corrected Israeli death count from Oct 7th was around 1,100, with around 40 or so of those being children. The current estimate of Palestinians that have been killed is around 21,000 with 8,800 of those being children, and around 1.7 million displaced without proper food, water, medicine, or shelter as over 49,532 homes have been destroyed.

What is the goal? If not full ethnic cleansing or genocide, what is it?

Israel claims that they are “rooting out Hamas”, but why did Hamas begin? They originated during the First Intifada in 1987–1993, which was a huge public movement against Israeli occupation. People had been caged up in these concentration camps being treated as sub-human for decades. It turns out that treating people like that pisses them off, and sooner or later they fight back.

So how is slaughtering tons of Palestinians going to cause this sort of thing to end?

Did the U.S.’s massive bombing and slaughter of Iraq and Afghanistan over decades cause less “extremism”? No, it created and gave Iraq over to ISIS. This won’t do any different for Israel, and unless they fully exterminate millions of lives they’re not making any progress. I honestly don’t know what they’re thinking at this point, maybe they expect to be able to shove all of the Gazan Palestinians into Egypt by force. Or do they think people will stop paying attention and they can drop a nuke on the remaining refugees un-noticed? I’m sure they don’t plan to allow all Palestinians to become citizens of Israel, and treat them as equals, or to divide the country up to the 1967 boundaries that many Palestinians said would be acceptable.

Other than Palestinians being against their oppressors, who happen to be Jewish, I don’t see the comparison there to them being “Nazis”. On the other hand, tons of evidence lines up exactly with the atrocities that Hitler committed against the Jews, with ex-IDF soldiers even stating as much.

Hating anyone based on any criteria that are outside of their control is wrong. Hating someone who has oppressed you, treated you as sub-human, and has murdered those that you love is fully understandable. Hate and anger are natural responses to being wronged, but it’s important to not be consumed by that hate because then you allow your oppressor a victory over you.
