I see this argument way too regularly: that capitalism equals freedom, and communism equals dictatorship. It’s the same old Cold War fairy tale baked into the American brain through TV shows, textbooks, and presidential speeches.
Capitalism might be “messy,” but it’s supposedly free; communism might promise equality, but it always ends in tyranny.
That’s the story.
I want you to look around for a second at the world you live in. How free do you actually feel in a system where billionaires own your politicians, your media, your workplace, and your healthcare? You’re not free. You’re a wage-slave.
