When Idiocracy came out in 2006, it was billed as satire, a crude, “over-the-top” comedy about a future so dumbed down by anti-intellectualism, corporate control, and environmental neglect that society had regressed into an infantile haze of slogans, junk food, and institutional collapse.

It bombed at the box office. People thought it was too ridiculous, cynical, and far-fetched… Now, it feels like Judge wasn’t exaggerating at all.
