How Britain Got Hong Kong
Drug Pushers Claiming They’re Liberators

If you really want to understand the world today, start with the history the West keeps sweeping under the rug. The stuff they don’t teach you in school because it makes “civilization” sound a lot less civilized. Like the part where the British Empire, self-proclaimed bringers of light, progress, and “free trade”, got Hong Kong by turning an entire nation into drug addicts and then going to war when that nation had the nerve to ask them to stop.
Yes, Britain drugged China, and when China said, “Hey, could you not poison our people?” Britain said, “No.” And then sent the Navy to make sure the drug supply kept flowing.
This is the kind of history that never makes it into your textbook next to the smiling picture of Queen Victoria. Because it ruins the fairy tale, the one where the West nobly “modernized” the world instead of bleeding it dry.
