All Christians are familiar with the story we’re told about Lucifer falling from grace and becoming Satan. As the story goes he was God’s favorite, but let his pride get to him and decided to rebel against Heaven and attempted to seize God’s throne for himself.

A war breaks out in Heaven, Michael the Archangel leading troops on one side against Lucifer’s forces on the other. In the end, Michael wins and casts down, presumably to Hell, Lucifer with one-third of the total angels in Heaven.

In a previous article I did a couple of years ago, I went into a lot of detail about how this story doesn’t actually exist in the Bible, it’s just tossed together from little bits and pieces of very abstract Bible verses and mythologies that Christians have come up with over the eons, so I won’t get lost in the weeds diving into all of those particular details at this time, but if you’re interested here is that article.
