End Stage Capitalism

Capitalism isn’t able to pretend indefinitely that it is a system of “innovation” and “freedom”; at some point, the truth shows itself. You can tell we’ve already hit that point when billionaires start cosplaying as revolutionaries and astronauts, while the working people can’t even afford their essential medicine or a roof over their heads, yet start thanking their oppressors for the privilege of barely surviving.
When the wealth gap gets a bit too wide, when workers start getting ideas about dignity or unions or fair pay, the owners of everything mobilize. Fascism is capitalism’s panic button. The oligarchs suddenly cozy up with strongmen, push even more propaganda, and suddenly CEOs start funding “patriotic movements” to “restore order,” by crushing the people who got tired of being robbed.
