The U.S. Has Lost, It’s Time to Face the Truth

It seems like every time I turn around I hear about something terrible happening in the U.S. Skyrocketing grocery prices. Yet another mass shooting. Growing homeless encampments under every overpass. People crowdfunding their cancer treatments. Rent taking up 60% of people’s paychecks, that is, if they’re lucky enough to even find a place. And just when you think we can’t get more morally bankrupt, there’s always some new atrocity happening overseas, paid for with our tax dollars.

And then I hop on RedNote and see… the exact opposite. People living in harmony. No homeless. Health care that costs a couple bucks out of pocket at most. Rent is low, if people are even renting at all. Because unlike in the U.S., people can actually afford to own a home.

I’ve made sure to follow a number of expats too, just to make sure I’m not being fed state-sponsored propaganda. And guess what? The expats say the same thing. They confirm what the locals post. They’re not just surviving abroad, they’re thriving.

So what happened? Where did we go wrong? How is it that we, the supposed leader of the free world, the beacon of democracy, are watching our empire rot from the inside out, while China continues to rise?
