We were sold a dream, remember? That if you worked hard, went to school, and paid your taxes, the system would reward you. That capitalism was the natural order of things — the best, most efficient way to run a society. It would lift all boats, incentivize innovation, and give everyone a shot at prosperity. Fast-forward to now, and that dream has morphed into a dystopian fever dream of billionaires hoarding wealth like dragons while the rest of us drown in debt, burn out at multiple jobs, or ration insulin.

Capitalism isn’t just failing. It’s collapsing under its own weight. And like a forest fire that keeps getting bigger no matter how many hoses you throw at it, it’s not sustainable. Not economically.

Not environmentally. Not socially.
