Artificial Scarcity

Anytime I hear a conversation in the media about the economy, housing, or healthcare it seems to start with the same false and depressing premise. “There’s just not enough.”
They make the claim that there are not enough homes, not enough doctors, not enough jobs, not enough resources.
It’s not real scarcity though. A deliberate illusion. Because the truth is, There’s more than enough of everything, food, housing, medicine, and labor, to go around.
There’s even plenty of profit to be made, if oligarchs had their wealth slashed by 99% they’d still afford yachts and mansions, someone like Bezos or Musk would still be a billionaire.
They want more not so they can live lavishly, they‘d still be able to do that, they want it just so they can maintain the current system.
