America Versus The ICC
“Nice Court You Got There, Be a Shame If Something Happened to It”

The United States has dropped the diplomatic mask and gone full mafia boss.
The U.S. government, self-proclaimed defender of human rights, international order, and all that liberal fluff, issued a threat to the International Criminal Court. According to reports, U.S. officials warned that if the ICC dared to issue arrest warrants for Israeli officials over war crimes in Gaza, they’d retaliate against the court, the prosecutors, and even their families.
Yes, the U.S. government threatened to go after the families of ICC personnel.
Let’s just be clear about what’s happening: the world’s most powerful empire just told an international legal body, “Try to hold our friends accountable, and we’ll make your life hell.”
In response, the ICC Prosecutor’s Office didn’t flinch. They condemned the threats, stating that such intimidation could constitute offenses against the administration of justice under Article 70 of the Rome Statute, the very treaty that governs the ICC, meaning the U.S. might’ve just committed an international crime by threatening the court for doing its job.
