You’ve been lied to your whole life.

No, not just about religion or American exceptionalism or how trickle-down economics is supposed to work (it doesn’t). I’m talking about the biggest lie of all: that capitalism is the final form of human civilization.

That the current system, where 8 people own more wealth than half the planet, where we work ourselves to death while CEOs ride phallic-shaped rockets into orbit, is the best we can do. That anything else is either a pipe dream or a totalitarian nightmare.

If you dare to imagine otherwise, you’re called “naive,” “radical,” or my personal favorite: “a danger to democracy.”

But here’s the thing they won’t tell you in school, or on cable news, or in the corporate-sponsored history books:

We’ve lived without capitalism before. We can do it again.

Let’s talk about what a post-capitalist world could actually look like. Not the cartoon villain version painted by billionaires and their pet politicians, but a real vision for how things could be.
