While you were distracted by fireworks the U.S. government quietly decided that even more poor people no longer deserve to live. This month (July 2025), Congress passed a bill slashing over $1 trillion from Medicaid and gutting Medicare access under the guise of “fiscal responsibility.”
They called it the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” It’s beautiful if you’re a billionaire, or if your healthcare is a private concierge in Aspen. For everyone else, it’s a death sentence, a bipartisan, technocratic death sentence.
